Minneapolis Teen Prodigy Unleashes A Comic Book Adventure Celebrating Friendship
🌟 Spread the word: A young Minneapolis talent debuts with a comic book that’s all heart, humor, and a dash of magic. “Kings of Quests: A Tale of Bros” is here to remind us that heroes come in all ages. 🌟
Minneapolis, Minnesota – Meet Miles Asberry-Wallace, a 13-year-old from Minneapolis, who’s not just any seventh grader. He’s Minnesota’s fresh face in publishing, having just released his first comic book, “Kings of Quests: A Tale of Bros”.
This isn’t just a story; it’s a vibrant journey of four Black teens who find friendship and adventure in a forest, all wrapped up in Miles’s lively drawings and rich colors. Launched at Strive Bookstore, a hub for Black authors in downtown Minneapolis, Miles’s work is a colorful celebration of youth and imagination.
Miles has been crafting comic books since he was a tiny tot of five, but this marks his big leap into the published world. And what a leap it is! With a little help from his mom, Tracine Asberry, a champion for youth engagement, and a supportive mentor, Miles transformed his dream into a tangible masterpiece.
The comic, created on an iPad over eight months, is more than just entertainment. It’s a tale of discovery, where each character mirrors a part of Miles, exploring themes of identity, ambition, and the universal quest to belong.
Miles’s story doesn’t stop with comic books. He’s got his eyes set on the basketball courts of the NBA and the Olympic swimming pools, but not before seeing his name on the New York Times bestseller list.
“Kings of Quests” isn’t just a comic; it’s the beginning of a journey for its young creator and his characters, promising more adventures to come. Hats off to this talented Minnesota teen!
