EAGAN, MN – An 18-year-old from Eagan, Minnesota, Conner Michael Iversen, faces multiple charges following a series of incidents, including a deadly crash that claimed the life of 11-year-old Lilyana Loycano of Maple Plain. The fatal collision occurred last week, prior to March 07, 2025, with criminal charges still pending in that case. Days later, Iversen was charged with 3rd-degree assault in Hennepin County after a separate violent encounter in Golden Valley.

The crash that killed Lilyana happened on a Wednesday, according to the West Hennepin Public Safety Department. Lilyana was on her way to school when the SUV carrying her family was hit at a four-way stop intersection by a pickup truck driven by Iversen. She passed away two days later, and five of her family members sustained injuries in the incident.

Assault Follows Fatal Collision

Just two days after the crash, on Friday around 6 a.m., police responded to reports of an assault near Theodore Worth Parkway and Park Place Boulevard in Golden Valley.

The victim, who had picked up a man from a gas station that morning, reported being attacked with a large stick. He suffered facial injuries and a puncture wound to the back of his leg.

Police later located Iversen about one mile away in a maintenance building, covered in scratches and blood. Authorities charged him with 3rd-degree assault on Monday in connection with the attack. That same morning, police also began investigating multiple burglaries in the area.

Earlier Charges for Fleeing Police

Iversen’s legal troubles extend beyond the crash and assault.

On December 17, he was charged in Hennepin County with fleeing police in a vehicle. Officers had attempted a traffic stop after witnesses reported him driving erratically—passing vehicles in a no-passing zone, speeding, driving on the shoulder, and nearly causing collisions. When police intervened, Iversen fled at speeds exceeding 100 mph.

After stop sticks were deployed, he crashed, then ran on foot before being apprehended. When questioned, Iversen admitted he wasn’t sure why he fled, adding that he tends to get overly wild behind the wheel.

As of now, no charges have been filed in the crash that took Lilyana Loycano’s life, leaving her family and community awaiting further developments. Meanwhile, Iversen remains tied to a growing list of criminal allegations in Hennepin County.
