EDINA, MNEdina, Minnesota experienced a dramatic high-speed car chase early Tuesday morning, resulting in the arrest of three minors. The incident began around 6:45 a.m. when Edina Police received reports of a stolen Toyota Tacoma near the 5100 block of Abercrombie Drive. The suspects were also linked to a black Kia, reported stolen from Inver Grove Heights.

Chase Through Residential Areas

As officers responded to the theft report, the stolen vehicles, a Tacoma and a Kia, began speeding through various neighborhoods in an attempt to evade law enforcement.

The chase quickly escalated as both vehicles raced through the streets of Edina.

Crash and Arrest

The chase came to a sudden halt when the Kia collided with another vehicle near the Tracy Avenue ramp to Highway 62.

Following the crash, the suspects fled the scene on foot. One minor was apprehended at the site of the crash, and police discovered a handgun in the vehicle.

Search and Capture

Edina Police established a perimeter to search for the remaining suspects. By 9 a.m., officers had located and arrested two more minors hiding near Highway 62 and Tracy Avenue.

All three are now in custody, and charges are pending as the investigation continues.

Ongoing Investigation

The Tacoma involved in the chase was later tracked to St. Louis Park and eventually recovered in Minneapolis.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident, but the case remains under active investigation by law enforcement.
