ST. CLOUD, MN – A tragic scene unfolded in St. Cloud, Minnesota on Wednesday when law enforcement officers discovered a missing 14-year-old girl, only for the situation to take a grim turn as a man inside the home took his own life while police were on the premises.

Authorities from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) and the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office had been searching for the teen, who had been reported missing from Morrison County just days earlier. Teen’s Safe Recovery Amidst a Grim Discovery

At around 3:30 p.m., officers arrived at a home located on the 1700 block of Casselberry Road in St. Cloud, where they found the endangered runaway unharmed. Thank God!

As officers questioned an adult man living at the residence, he abruptly retreated to a back bedroom. Moments later, a single gunshot rang out from inside the room. Law enforcement quickly evacuated the home and called for additional assistance, including the St. Cloud SWAT team.

A Fatal Turn: What Happened Inside the Home

After entering the bedroom, officers confirmed that the man had died from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No shots were fired by police during the incident, and no one else was harmed.

The missing girl, whose disappearance had sparked a widespread search, is now in the care of Morrison County authorities. She was located safely and was not injured during the incident.

The situation remains under investigation, with police working to understand the circumstances leading to the man’s fatal decision.
