MOORHEAD, MN – In a tense situation early Wednesday, employees at a Moorhead, Minnesota massage parlor narrowly avoided harm after a man entered the business and displayed a knife. The workers were able to escape without injury, and now local police are asking for help in identifying the suspect.
Knife Brandished Inside Massage Parlor: Employees Flee to Safety
The incident took place at Southern Massage located at 108 7th St S. While inside the establishment, the man reportedly pulled out a knife, causing the employees to flee.
Fortunately, no one was physically harmed during the encounter, but authorities are now treating the situation as an assault investigation.
Police Release Suspect’s Description and Urge Public to Assist
The suspect is described as a white man with an average build, though his height remains unknown. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue long-sleeved button-up shirt, khaki cargo shorts, and white socks paired with white Adidas tennis shoes.
He also had on a khaki baseball-style hat and was masked with a blue surgical-style covering. Additionally, the man was wearing gloves, which were captured in surveillance images released by the police.
Authorities believe the suspect may be driving a grey SUV, but it is still unclear if this was an isolated event or part of a broader pattern, as no similar incidents have been reported.
