$500K Reward for DC Pipe Bomber
This is NewsChat: your source for the Truth in today’s news. Today is Saturday, January 4, 2025 and I’m your host Jack Norton from JackAndKitty.com.
The FBI is renewing its search for the suspect responsible for planting two pipe bombs on Capitol Hill the night before the January 6th riot.
After four years, new surveillance footage has been released, showing the suspect’s movements on January 5, 2021.
The individual was seen planting a bomb near the Democratic National Committee headquarters and another near the Republican National Committee.
The FBI is offering a $500,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
The suspect, described as 5’7″ tall, wearing a face mask, gray hoodie, black gloves, and distinctive Nike Air Max shoes, left the bombs, which were viable but didn’t detonate.
The public is urged to come forward with any details.
From a Biblical standpoint, violence is never the answer. Jesus taught us to love our enemies and turn the other cheek (Matthew 5:39), encouraging peace over conflict.
The violent actions of the individual who planted the bombs on Capitol Hill stand in direct opposition to the principles of compassion, understanding, and justice that we are called to live by.
The Bible emphasizes the importance of peaceful solutions and reconciliation (Romans 12:18), rather than resorting to extreme actions that harm others and destabilize our communities.
As a nation, we need a renewed sense of patriotism grounded in love for one another, a commitment to justice, and a desire to heal rather than divide.
Extremism—whether from any side—threatens the values of unity and freedom that our country was built upon.
It’s essential for us as Christians and as citizens to reject violence and embrace efforts that promote understanding and peace for all.
Minnesota Teen Still Missing
The search for 17-year-old Trinity Fisher continues more than a year after she went missing in Andover – which is in Anoka County, Minnesota.
Fisher was last seen on December 20, 2023, when she was just 15 years old.
Authorities recently reissued a missing persons alert through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, urging anyone with information to come forward.
Fisher is described as 5’7″ tall, weighing around 130 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair, and she is Black.
While there is no new information on her whereabouts, authorities believe she may still be in the local area or have traveled to nearby cities.
The investigation remains active, with both the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children continuing to search for leads. If you have any information, you are encouraged to contact NCMEC at 1-800-843-5678 or the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office at (763) 427-1212.
Please join me in a short prayer for Trinity Fisher’s safe return.
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up Trinity Fisher to You. Lord, we ask for Your protection over her wherever she may be. We pray for her safe return and for the strength and comfort of her family, who wait anxiously.
Father, please guide those searching for her and grant them wisdom and perseverance. We pray for Your peace to surround them during this difficult time.
We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing You are with Trinity and her loved ones, and we place this situation into Your hands, believing You will lead them to answers.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
‘Home Improvement’ Star Arrested
Zachery Ty Bryan, the actor best known for his role on sitcom Home Improvement, was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on January 3, 2025, on charges of second-degree domestic violence.
Police responded to a call on January 1, finding Bryan involved in a physical altercation. His booking photo shows visible injuries, including cuts and possible bruising.
Bryan remains in custody on a $10,000 bond.
This arrest marks his third in less than two years, following a DUI arrest in February 2024 and previous domestic violence incidents. Notably, Bryan was arrested in 2020 for assault and strangulation, later pleading guilty to lesser charges, and was arrested again in 2023 for felony assault in violation of a restraining order.
From a Biblical perspective, marriage – and all romantic relationships – is meant to be a reflection of God’s love, rooted in mutual respect, care, and support.
Ephesians 5:25 calls husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church—selflessly and sacrificially.
Relationships should foster peace, understanding, and protection, with both partners honoring one another (1 Peter 3:7).
The Bible condemns violence in all forms, including physical, emotional, and verbal abuse. No one is called to endure harm or suffering in a relationship.
In fact, God offers compassion and protection to those who are hurting, urging people to seek justice and healing.
If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse, know that help is available and there is hope. The National Domestic Violence Hotline offers confidential support 24/7. You don’t have to go through this alone. Call 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or text START to 88788 for immediate assistance. Visit www.thehotline.org for more resources and guidance on how to safely move forward. Healing and support are within reach. You are loved—and your life matters.
Thanks for listening to NewsChat – now if the good Lord’s willing and the creek don’t rise, I’ll see you again tomorrow morning. I hope you have a great Saturday – enjoy your weekend. Remember, Jesus loves you and you deserve to feel good today! Take care.
