Crash Uncovers Murder

This is NewsChat: your source for the Truth in today’s news. Today is Monday, February 3, 2025 and I’m your host Jack Norton from JackAndKitty.com.

Friends, this is a truly chilling story. A car crash in Independence, Oregon, took a shocking twist when police discovered the body of 35-year-old Ashley Jean Gandolfi inside the vehicle.

The driver, 39-year-old Tyler Andrew Holman, was injured and taken to the hospital, but investigators determined that Gandolfi had not died in the crash. Instead, she had been shot, and her death was ruled a homicide.

Police linked Holman to the crime through evidence found at his residence and confirmed he and Gandolfi had been in a romantic relationship.

After being released from the hospital, Holman was immediately arrested and charged with second-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and second-degree abuse of a corpse. The investigation is ongoing.

Can you believe that? The killer crashes his car – while transporting the murder victim. Absolutely horrific.

Friends, this tragic story reflects the brokenness of a world fallen into sin, where violence and loss of life are all too common.

The Bible teaches in Genesis 1:27 that every person is made in the image of God, giving human life sacred value.

When that life is taken, it grieves the heart of God, as expressed in Ezekiel 33:11, where God says He takes no pleasure in the death of anyone but desires repentance and life.

Christians are called to respond with both compassion and a call for justice. Romans 13:4 affirms the role of governing authorities in punishing wrongdoing, while Matthew 5:44 urges believers to pray even for those who commit grave sins.

This is a moment to mourn, seek justice for the victim, and pray for the redemption of all involved, trusting that God can bring light even into the darkest situations.

A Little Escape Can Change Everything - Jack and Kitty's Feel-Good Stories.

Women Kidnap Family

Two women from Fresno, California, are facing federal charges after allegedly kidnapping a mother and her two children in a shocking plot to silence a domestic violence witness.

Rosa Ventura, 34, and Claudia Gonzales, 38, reportedly abducted the woman and her daughters—a 5-month-old and a 9-year-old—on May 8, 2024.

Authorities say Ventura lured them into a car, drove them to a field where Gonzales emerged from the trunk, and the pair forced the family on a terrifying drive to Tijuana, Mexico.

Court documents reveal the mother and her 9-year-old attempted to escape at a gas station but were chased down and recaptured.

Once in Mexico, the women allegedly abandoned them at a bus station to prevent the mother from testifying against her boyfriend in a domestic violence case.

Ventura and Gonzales remain in custody and face a minimum of 20 years to life in prison if convicted.

Friends, this story is a chilling example of how sin festers when wickedness is allowed to take root.

The actions of these women reflects the darkness of a heart far from God, where greed, deception, and destruction rule.

It’s unbelievable. The lengths some wicked people will go is simply mind-boggling to me. I can’t understand it. To kidnap a mother, a 9 year old girl and a 5 month old baby. And why? To cover up for some sicko wife beater! A five month only baby. Let that sink in, friends. Five months.

Friends, let’s close this sickening news story with a passage from the Word of God. Galatians 6:7 declares, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”

Take peace in knowing, the punishment these women face for kidnapping a mother and her two precious babies is not only a matter of earthly justice but a foreshadowing of eternal judgment.

Those who prey on the vulnerable will face the wrath of God unless they repent. Let this story call sinners to account and remind us all that wickedness will never go unanswered before a holy and mighty God.

Denise Richards-Charlie Sheen Daughter Finds Jesus

Now for some good news out of Hollywood – there’s a sentence you rarely hear. Hollywood, or as we like to call it here on the podcast, Hollyweird – it’s just such a sinful, lost place.

Well, anyways, some good news: Lola Sheen, daughter of actors Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen, recently opened up about her life-changing spiritual transformation after hitting rock bottom.

At 19, she shared that growing up in the Hollywood spotlight left her battling depression, insecurity, and feelings of unworthiness. Despite therapy, she struggled to find relief until one night of overwhelming despair led to what she described as a powerful encounter with Jesus, bringing her peace and purpose.

Sheen’s journey began after watching a Christian TikTok video that, she says, opened her heart to faith. Following her baptism, she publicly shared her testimony, which quickly gained international attention.

Now, she’s embracing her new path, growing her relationship with Jesus, launching a faith-based podcast, and preparing to attend college. Good for her!

Lola Sheen’s story is a powerful example of the biblical truth that God meets people at their lowest and offers hope when the world fails to provide it.

Scripture tells us in Psalm 34:18 that “the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit,” and Sheen’s experience reflects this promise.

Her encounter with Jesus during a moment of deep despair shows how Christ’s love can intervene when everything seems lost.

Lola’s journey also reflects the transformative power of faith, as seen in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

What began as a personal struggle has now become a public testimony of grace, showing how God can turn even the darkest experiences into new beginnings filled with purpose and hope. Welcome home, Lola.

Thanks for listening to NewsChat – now if the good Lord’s willing and the creek don’t rise, I’ll see you again tomorrow morning. I hope you have a great day. Remember, Jesus loves you and you deserve to feel good today! Take care.
