Homework Headache: Dad’s Incessant Calls Lead to Arrest đŸ˜±

Oxford, Ohio – A local father found himself in a sticky situation after repeatedly calling his son’s school to complain about the amount of homework the boy was receiving. The dad, Adam Sizemore of Oxford, Ohio, was so frustrated that he just couldn’t help but dial the school over and over again, even going as far as threatening the principal and telling him to “put on his big boy pants”!

School Says “No More Calls!”

When the school had had enough of Sizemore’s constant calls, they stopped answering the phone. But that didn’t stop this determined dad! He decided to take his complaints to the Oxford police station instead, demanding to speak with the chief. He called dispatch a whopping 18 times, refusing to leave a voicemail for the chief and insisting that the chief come to his house since he pays for him.

Dispatchers Offer a Solution

The dispatchers, trying to be helpful, suggested that Sizemore come to the police station and talk to the chief in person. But Sizemore wasn’t having it. He insisted that the chief come to his house instead. That’s when the dispatcher decided to send some officers to Sizemore’s house to have a little chat.

Dad’s Wish Granted… Sort Of

Sizemore finally got his wish to speak with officers, but it didn’t quite go as he had planned. Instead of having a friendly chat about his son’s homework, he found himself in handcuffs, arrested for telecommunications harassment and menacing. As he was being put into the police car, Sizemore exclaimed, “You try to stick up for your son, and this is what happens!”

A Lesson Learned?

While it’s understandable that parents want to advocate for their children, maybe repeatedly calling the school and the police station isn’t the best way to go about it. Sizemore’s court appearance is scheduled for later this month, where he’ll have a chance to enter his plea. If convicted, he could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine for each count of harassment, plus an additional 30 days for the menacing charges.

So, the next time you’re feeling frustrated about your child’s homework load, maybe try a deep breath and a friendly email instead of a barrage of phone calls. Your local school and police station will thank you!
