NASHVILLE, TN – Airfare promotions are common, but Flair Airlines is taking discounts to a whole new level. The Canadian budget airline recently revealed that it will be offering base fares as low as one Canadian dollar on select routes from Cancun, Orlando, Las Vegas, and Puerto Vallarta to various destinations in Canada.

Although the base fare is just one dollar, taxes and fees will amount to roughly $15.14 per flight segment, which includes security and government charges.

This basic fare does not cover baggage; travelers with personal items, checked luggage, or carry-on bags will need to pay extra, which can total up to $56. This pricing approach is similar to what U.S. airlines like Frontier, Spirit, and Allegiant use for their basic economy tickets.

Flair Airlines is also offering heavily discounted fares on flights within the U.S. and to Canada.

Here’s some additional low fares (in Canadian dollars) for flights from the U.S. to Canada:

  • Fort Lauderdale to Toronto – $21
  • Las Vegas to Calgary – $21
  • Nashville to Toronto – $31
  • San Francisco to Vancouver – $31
  • Las Vegas to Vancouver – $31

While such a low fare may seem unbelievable, Flair Airlines assures that this pricing is a strategic business move aimed at providing significant value to consumers.

“This $1 base fare offer is not a temporary promotion but part of our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional affordability across our network,” Flair Airlines CEO Maciej Wilk stated in a press release.

Founded in 2015, Flair Airlines is Canada’s third-largest carrier, operating flights to 35 international destinations with a fleet of Boeing 737s.

This promotion comes as Canada experiences a surge in tourism. Visits from the U.S. rose by 51.8 percent, according to Canadian Tourism statistics. Let us know in the comments section below which Canadian cities are on your travel bucket list!
