Morning Commute Turns Deadly!
ST. CLOUD, MN – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train Friday morning in St. Cloud, Minnesota, blocking traffic for around three hours while police investigated.
The St. Cloud Police Department said officers responded to the reported collision on the 500 block of St. Germain Street East at around 9:49 a.m. Friday, and found an adult male pedestrian deceased at the scene.
Police said the victim has been identified, but his name was not released pending family notification.
The stopped train blocked the tracks for around three hours, forcing drivers to find alternate routes. The train moved on and the road was reopened at around 1 p.m.
Police said the incident remains under investigation. The police department is asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward or submit an anonymous tip.
