ENGLEWOOD, CO – The tranquility of a Colorado golf course was shattered Wednesday morning as a small plane crashed onto the green. Despite the chaos, both passengers survived with minor injuries. We’ve got must-see photos from this amazing story below!
Emergency Response at Golf Course Crash Scene
At approximately 10 a.m., emergency crews rushed to Meridian Golf Course in Englewood, Colorado, following a report of a downed aircraft. South Metro Fire Rescue and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office were among the first to arrive at the scene, finding a Cessna 172 overturned near the seventh hole.
Officials confirmed that both people on board were able to walk away from the crash. Paramedics quickly assessed the passengers. One had minor injuries, while the other was miraculously unharmed.
Investigation into the Cause of the Crash
The Cessna had taken off just moments before from nearby Centennial Airport, located roughly five miles from where it ultimately went down.
The reason for the crash remains unclear, but authorities from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause.
Despite the shocking nature of the incident, quick action by first responders ensured that the situation was handled efficiently, and the area was secured for further inquiry.
