Prayer for Overcoming Addiction

Heavenly Father, thank You for this new day and the gift of Your presence. Right now, I lift up my brother or sister listening to this prayer. You see their heart, their struggles, and their desire to overcome addiction. I ask You to surround them with Your love and peace today.

Lord, strengthen them to resist temptation and guide their steps toward freedom. Let Your Word and promises remind them that they are never alone. Protect their mind, body, and spirit, and fill them with the courage to seek help, lean on others, and trust in You fully.

Thank You, Father, for the victory You have already prepared for them. Bless their journey today and remind them of the incredible purpose You have for their life. We declare freedom, healing, and peace in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

1 Corinthians 10:13 – “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

Isaiah 41:10 – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
