We love local news!

We love local news. We started the JackAndKitty.com newsroom at our kitchen table here in Winona, Minnesota with a passion for telling stories that big city newsrooms won’t cover.

Eventually our popularity and coverage expanded to the Midwest, and now, nationally. We’re thrilled to still run our offices from our kitchen table – but now joining us at the old table are other locally-based reporters throughout the country.

Our news team works together with a lot of coffee, conference calls, and wacky Zoom meetings which usually get taken over by everyones’ pets. Is this a traditional newsroom? Heck no! This is a newsroom of real people, covering real news in a really local way – and we’re incredibly proud of our approach.
