CHICAGO, IL – Reese’s on Tuesday announced a collaboration with rookie WNBA star Angel Reese for a fan-inspired limited-edition line of merch.
The Chicago Sky rookie, who on Sunday became the fastest player in WNBA history to score 20 double-doubles after just 27 games, has fans all over the world known affectionately as “Reese’s Pieces,” like the candy, spawning memes and fan requests for a collaboration.
The iconic chocolate and peanut butter candy brand listened to fans of “The Queen,” and worked in collaboration with Athlete Studio, an IP and commerce platform for professional athletes, to design three exclusive drops that capture the basketball player’s unique style and nod to “The Reese’s Pieces.”
“The fans really made this happen,” Angel Reese said in a statement. “This collection is for my Reese’s Pieces – who’ve been with me every step of the way and the design elements bring together things that I love — basketball, style, and of course, Reese’s!”
The new line of merch includes the Angel Reese x Reese’s Pieces Logo Collection, which features a cropped tee, t-shirt, hoodie and hat, offered in both white and cream, with the iconic Reese’s Pieces logo re-imagined just for Angel Reese.
The Angel Reese x Reese’s Basketball Jersey in bright orange with yellow lettering lets fans show off their love for both Reese and Reese’s.
The Angel Reese x Reese’s Cup Logo Collection features eight designs that combine Angel’s style with the iconic Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup as a “crown.”
The limited-edition merch is available starting Tuesday exclusively at www.theangelreese.com, and will be released in three distinct drops.
