Bloomington, Minnesota – Are you ready to get gooped up from head to toe? The Mall of America’s Nickelodeon Universe has opened a new attraction that lets you live out your childhood dreams of getting slimed just like your favorite ’90s Nickelodeon stars. But hurry: you only have until April 14, 2024 to make your slimy dreams come true!
The Slimulator Experience
The “Get Slimed” attraction, also known as the “Slimulator,” gives visitors the chance to get drenched in Nickelodeon’s iconic green slime. For $45, you can step into the Slimulator and experience the slimy sensation that Justin Bieber and Will Smith felt at the 2012 Kids’ Choice Awards. And if you want to share the slimy fun with a friend, you can pay an extra $10 to get slimed together.
Nostalgia in a Goop
If you grew up watching Nickelodeon in the ’90s, you probably remember the network’s love for covering contestants in green slime during its gameshows. The Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, is now bottling up that nostalgia and selling it for a limited time. The Slimulator will be open until April 14, so you better hurry if you want to get your slime on.

How to Get Slimed
To participate in the “Get Slimed” attraction, you’ll need to register in advance. The Slimulator is only available on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The park recommends bringing a change of clothes, even though you’ll be wearing protective gear. Don’t worry about the mess, though – the slime is machine washable. Plus, you’ll get a free T-shirt to commemorate your slimy experience!
A Slimy Seal of Approval
The “Get Slimed” attraction already has some fans, including local hip-hop artist Nur-D. Even Marc Summers, the Nickelodeon personality who pioneered the art of sliming gameshow contestants in the ’90s, gave the Mall of America slime a solid “7-plus” out of 10. He did note that the new slime is a bit more watery than the stuff he used to use, but hey, it’s still slime!
