CHICAGO, IL – A brazen smash-and-grab theft shook the upscale Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois early Saturday morning, targeting the luxury Prada store on East Oak Street.
Early Morning Break-In
Chicago Police reported that a group of three to four individuals shattered the front glass door of the high-end retailer.
The break-in occurred in the first block of East Oak Street, an area known for its luxury shopping and affluent clientele.
Suspects Flee the Scene
After the break-in, the group quickly grabbed an unknown amount of merchandise.
They then fled the scene in a white SUV or pickup truck, heading southbound on State Street. The exact details of the stolen goods remain unclear as the investigation continues.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. As of now, the suspects remain at large, and Area Three detectives are actively investigating the case.
