In a bizarre and shocking incident, Chinese customs agents recently apprehended a man attempting to smuggle 100 live snakes hidden in his pants. Yes, you read the right: 100 snakes in his pants!
Discovery at Shenzhen Huanggang Customs
Shenzhen Huanggang Customs, located at the border between mainland China and Hong Kong, was the site of the unusual discovery. Customs officers discovered six rope canvas bags, sealed with adhesive tape, concealed in this serpent-sightseer’s trousers.

Upon opening these bags, they found a variety of colorful and differently shaped snakes!
The incident was reported by the Chengdu Huanggang Chamber of Commerce on July 9.
A Variety of Non-Native Species
The seized snakes included non-native species such as milk snakes, western pig-nosed snakes, corn brocade snakes, Texas rat snakes, and cow snakes.

Video Evidence Released
China Customs released video footage showing the suspect and customs officials handling the seized snakes. The footage, captured by security cameras, provided a glimpse into the unusual and dangerous attempt to smuggle live reptiles across the border.
