ST. CHARLES, MN ā A suspect was taken into custody on Thursday, August 29, 2024, following a domestic dispute in the 1500 block of Church Avenue in St. Charles, Minnesota.
The St. Charles Police Department received a report of an ongoing domestic altercation at approximately 3:42 PM. Officers arrived to find a man with visible injuries who reported that he had been assaulted by his former partner, 38-year-old Bobbi Jo Perrault from Mapleton, MN.
Perrault was not present when officers searched the victimās apartment. A Lewiston Police Officer and a bystander later saw Perrault fleeing southbound into a wooded area. Officers discovered that Perrault had an outstanding felony warrant for her arrest.

To contain the situation and ensure public safety, a security perimeter was established.
A shelter-in-place order was issued around 5:22 PM, and law enforcement agencies, including K9 deputies from the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office and a drone operator from the Winona County Sheriff’s Office, joined the search.

At approximately 6:18 PM, a homeowner, alerted by the shelter-in-place order, reported an uninvited female matching Perraultās description in her residence. Officers quickly verified the suspect’s identity and took her into custody without incident.
Perrault was transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation and later booked into the Winona County Jail.
She faces multiple charges, including assault, domestic assault, criminal damage to property, burglary, and probation violation, in addition to the felony warrant for controlled substance offenses.
The St. Charles Police Department thanked the community for their cooperation and acknowledged the assistance of the Winona County Sheriff’s Office, Lewiston Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, and Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office in resolving the incident.
