A 50-year-old postal worker, identified as Roy Varghese from Eagan, suffered multiple gunshot wounds in what authorities describe as an alarming event within the normally routine environment of the postal service.

The shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the U.S. Post Office located at 1715 West 7th Street. The suspected shooter, a 28-year-old coworker of Varghese, fled the scene but did not evade law enforcement for long. He is now in custody at the Ramsey County Jail, facing charges of aggravated assault.
