Winona, MN – Mark your calendars and get ready for an exciting day in our home town Winona, Minnesota, on Saturday, May 18, 2024! From 1 pm to 3 pm, you’ll have the chance to explore the charming downtown area and indulge in delicious food from the best local restaurants. The Taste of Downtown Winona event, hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Winona Sunrisers, is the perfect opportunity to discover your new favorite eatery while supporting a great cause.
🍕 A Feast for Your Senses
Be sure to stop for a selfie as you stroll through the picturesque streets of Downtown Winona (and don’t forget to look at the stunning and historic Merchant’s National Bank building). At this event, your nose will be tantalized by the mouthwatering aromas wafting from the best local restaurants. From the savory scents of pizza at Toppers Pizza, Sliced, and Sammy’s Pizza to the enticing spices of Great Hunan and Sapori di Sicillia, there’s something to satisfy every craving.
🍔 Burgers, Sandwiches, and More
If you’re in the mood to sample comfort food, Bub’s Brewing Co. and 2 Brothers Sports B&G have got you covered. For sandwich lovers, Beno’s Deli and Erbert & Gerberts samples are sure to impress. And don’t forget to sample a refreshing bite from Acoustic Cafe or Blooming Grounds.

To join the fun, head to the ticket booth at the corner of Third and Center streets. You can also grab your tickets at any of the participating restaurants. Tickets are $15/person and a wrist band will be needed to wear to show at each restaurant.

The proceeds from the event will go towards initiatives like the Food for Kids program, providing backpacks full of school supplies for the Ready Set School program, and a reading program that gives every kindergarten and pre-K student in Winona County their own book to take home. 🏆 Special Athletic Competition
The Kiwanis Club of Winona Sunrisers also supports the Special Athletic Competition event at Paul Giel Field, which they started 48 years ago to benefit children with disabilities. Additionally, they support the Circle K program at Winona State University and organize Christmas tree pick-ups in the community.
