The 127 Yard Sale, often dubbed the Highway 127 Corridor Sale, covers an impressive path from Michigan down to Alabama.
Starting in 1987, the event was the brainchild of Mike Walker from Fentress County, Tennessee.
What began as a modest sale along US 127 between Covington, Kentucky, and Chattanooga, Tennessee, has since grown into a multi-state phenomenon, adding routes like Lookout Mountain Parkway to include Georgia and Alabama, and later expanding into Ohio and Michigan.
690 Miles of Deals and Delights
Today, this colossal yard sale boasts a total distance of 690 miles, making it the longest of its kind anywhere.
For four days each August, vendors line the route with everything from antiques to everyday items, attracting seasoned shoppers and curious newcomers.
Organizers even provide a detailed turn-by-turn map for those eager to tackle the full journey, though many opt to explore just a section near home.
