Horror Movie Premieres with a Shocking Reception: Audience Members Walk Out and Vomit
Some Terrifier 3 viewers couldn’t handle the gore, walking out or even vomiting during the premiere! Will you dare to watch? 🌐 #News #FilmAndTelevision #Entertainment #Halloween
ST. PAUL, MN – If you’re looking for a terrifying way to get into the Halloween spirit, Terrifier 3 hits U.S. theaters today—just in time for the spooky season. But honestly? We’re way too scared to watch it ourselves. We’ll probably stick to It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown or Hocus Pocus instead. Those seem a bit more enjoyable! Hehe.
Horror That’s Too Real for Some (Like Us)
The U.K. premiere of Terrifier 3 on Wednesday night proved to be too much for some viewers, with several walking out and even one person reportedly vomiting during the screening.
The distributor of the film, Signature Entertainment, confirmed the unsettling reactions in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), writing, “Thank you to everyone joining us last night for the Terrifier 3 gala. Venue staff have reported 11 people walking out and 1 person vomiting. If the #Terrifier3 event impacted you, please let us know if you need more support at this time.”
Warnings Were Clear, But Reactions Were Intense
For those unfamiliar with the Terrifier franchise, it is notorious for its graphic violence and sadistic villain, Art the Clown, who seems to be at his most terrifying in this latest installment. The warning posted at the premiere entrance gave fair notice: “This film contains extreme violence and excessive gore. If you are feeling unwell, please find a member of staff. Staff trained in first aid are on site.”
The director, Damien Leone, even chimed in on X, saying he personally witnessed some “crazy stuff” at the screening. This reaction isn’t entirely new for the Terrifier films. Since the first movie premiered in 2016, stories of people fainting, vomiting, and leaving the theater have circulated widely. While some claim these reports are simply part of a clever marketing strategy, Leone has stood firm, stating in 2022 that the reactions are “100% legit.”
The Terrifier Franchise Continues to Push Limits
Despite the gruesome reputation, Terrifier 3 is expected to draw die-hard horror fans who are looking for something more extreme than the average slasher flick. And for those brave enough to face the bloodbath, there’s even more to look forward to—Leone has already confirmed that a Terrifier 4 is in the works.
So, are you ready for Art the Clown’s latest nightmare? Or will you be watching something a little less… traumatic tonight?
