WICHITA, KS – Authorities in Wichita, Kansas are investigating a terrifying ordeal involving a 14-year-old girl who may have narrowly escaped an attempted abduction. The unsettling incident unfolded Monday afternoon around 3:40 p.m. in the 2500 block of W. Esthner, near Meridian, just south of Harry Street.
According to investigators, the girl was walking home when a maroon sedan suddenly pulled up beside her. A male passenger inside the vehicle allegedly made inappropriate comments before attempting to lure her into the car. The girl managed to avoid the situation, and police are now working to track down those involved.
Police Searching for Suspect
Wichita police have provided a description of the suspect, who remains at large. He is described as:
- A male with a medium complexion
- Approximately 6 feet tall
- Medium muscular build
- Dark curly hair
- Short black beard
