HOUSTON, TX – Three boys, aged 8, 9, and 10, were pulled to safety after becoming trapped in a drainage system near Houston, Texas. The dramatic rescue unfolded Monday night as first responders worked tirelessly to bring them back above ground.

Emergency Response to 911 Calls

The rescue operation began when multiple 911 calls reported children trapped underground near the 19100 block of Kuykendahl Road, close to Countrypines Drive, a neighborhood in Spring, a suburb north of Houston. Deputies from Harris County and firefighters from the Klein Fire Department responded to the scene.

Authorities acted quickly, with Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman sharing updates and photos from the rescue on social media. Images captured rescuers working to remove a heavy metal grate to access the drainage system and reach the boys.

Rescue Efforts Bring the Boys to Safety

Rescuers descended into the drainage system to reach the boys, who were eventually freed without injuries. EMS personnel medically evaluated the children at the scene and confirmed they were unharmed.

After the evaluation, the boys were released into the care of their guardians.
