HOUSTON, TX – A YouTuber with millions of followers has been arrested after a shocking alleged crime spree that left two women fearing for their lives. Corey Pritchett Jr., a 26-year-old from Houston, Texas, is accused of kidnapping the women at gunpoint, subjecting them to a high-speed chase, and making chilling threats before eventually abandoning them on the side of the highway. After fleeing the U.S. to Qatar, Pritchett was apprehended and returned to the country, where he now faces aggravated kidnapping charges.
A Day That Turned Into a Nightmare
The incident began on November 24, when Pritchett reportedly met the two women at a gym in the Houston area. What started as a casual outing quickly took a dangerous turn. After spending time with friends riding ATVs and bowling, the women noticed a sudden and alarming change in Pritchett’s behavior.
According to court documents, he became erratic and paranoid, claiming someone was after him. Instead of driving the women home as planned, Pritchett sped in the opposite direction, heading west on Interstate 10 toward San Antonio at over 100 mph.
Threats, Gunfire, and Desperation
As the terrifying ride continued, Pritchett allegedly pulled out a gold-colored handgun, waved it out of the sunroof, and fired shots. Prosecutors say he threatened the women in horrifying terms, telling them he intended to assault and kill them.
In a desperate bid to calm him, the women convinced Pritchett to pray with them. While he momentarily agreed, his reckless driving and erratic behavior continued. Ultimately, he stopped the car, releasing the women on the side of the highway near Brookshire, Texas.
A passerby spotted the victims walking along the road and alerted authorities. Deputies from the Waller County Sheriff’s Office responded and provided assistance to the women.
Arrest and Financial Troubles
After the incident, Pritchett fled the country, seeking refuge in Qatar. However, he was arrested and brought back to the U.S. on January 17. He is now being held in Harris County on a $100,000 bond and has requested a public defender, citing no income or assets despite his online fame.
With over 5 million subscribers across his two YouTube channels, Pritchett has built a following by sharing comedic videos, music, and family content. His financial affidavit describes him as a self-employed content creator, a role he’s held for nearly a decade.
A Chaotic Online Presence
Before his arrest, Pritchett made cryptic posts on Instagram addressing the allegations. In one post, he referred to himself as “accused” and declared his intention to return to the U.S. to face the charges. His Instagram page has since been deleted.
Pritchett’s next court appearance is scheduled, where he will face serious accusations stemming from a case that has sent shockwaves through his fanbase. The legal process is set to continue as authorities and the public watch closely for updates.
