Daemon Smith, a 29-year-old from Sedalia, claims to have seen the creature firsthand when he was just 10 years old. While riding in his uncle’s pickup truck, Smith witnessed a wolf-like creature emerge from the woods and run alongside the vehicle. “It wasn’t quite animalistic,” he said, struggling to explain the surreal experience.
