Advanced Capabilities

Dr. Kyle Woerner, program manager for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), highlighted the submarine’s capability to stay submerged for long stretches without needing to refuel. He mentioned that the successful testing of the Manta Ray proves its readiness for real-world missions, thanks to its rapid assembly from modular sections in the field.

Woerner also emphasized the vessel’s straightforward assembly process, even in limited spaces. Transporting the submarine directly to its operational area helps conserve energy that would otherwise be used during transit.
