DULUTH, MN – A devastating crash involving a semi-trailer and multiple vehicles claimed the lives of four people, including two young girls, in northeastern Minnesota on Wednesday. The incident occurred on Highway 2 near Nelson Road in Arrowhead Township, just west of Duluth.

Details of the Crash
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the collision was reported at 2:54 p.m. Four vehicles were stopped in traffic due to construction when a semi-trailer, traveling at high speed, failed to stop and crashed into them.
The vehicles involved included a GMC, a Ford, a Mack Semi, and a Honda Pilot.
Victims Identified
Tragically, all four occupants of the Honda Pilot were killed in the crash.
The victims have been identified as Vincent Louis Dow, 65, Bonnie Mae Dow, 66, and two nine-year-old girls, Hope Mae Oakgrove and Charlotte White. All of the deceased were residents of Blackduck, Minnesota.
Additional Injuries Reported
Three other individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.
Among the injured were the 63-year-old driver of the semi-trailer from Grand Rapids, a 45-year-old Rochester man who was driving the Mack truck, and an 84-year-old woman from Grand Rapids who was a passenger in the Ford.
Ongoing Investigation
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision. The Minnesota State Patrol is working to determine the circumstances that led to the tragic incident.
