BLOOMINGTON, MN – Under the dim glow of streetlights in early August, Bloomington, Minnesota law enforcement executed a decisive undercover operation that culminated in the apprehension of eight men accused of attempting to solicit minors for sexual activities.

Collaborating closely with the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and Richfield police, the Bloomington Police Department demonstrated a robust commitment to protecting the community’s youth.

Strategic Collaboration Results in Significant Arrests

The operation targeted individuals believed to be communicating with minors aged between 13 and 15.

Among those arrested was William Lattery, a 57-year-old man who allegedly sought to engage in inappropriate interactions with someone he thought was a 13-year-old.

The group of eight includes men ranging from 22 to 39 years old, with one additional suspect expected to be charged in the upcoming week.

Police Chief Booker Hodges emphasized the importance of these arrests in preventing further victimization, noting that some of the suspects had previous attempts to solicit minors.
