PULLMAN, WA – In the early hours of Monday morning, chaos erupted at Washington State University as a student was arrested for allegedly stabbing a fellow student inside a campus dormitory. The shocking incident unfolded at Orton Hall, leaving students and staff in disbelief.
Authorities were called to the Pullman campus at 1:18 a.m. after receiving reports of a violent altercation. When officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old male student suffering from a knife wound on his left arm. The alleged attack took place on the third floor of Orton Hall, a dormitory located on Olympia Avenue.
Suspect in Custody, Weapon Recovered
The suspected weapon, described by police as a knife, was found at the scene. Tatiana Martinez, a 20-year-old student who resides in Orton Hall, was identified as the suspect. She was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and taken to the Whitman County Jail.
According to police, the victim is a student from Shoreline, Washington. He was transported to Pullman Regional Hospital for evaluation but refused treatment and was later released.
