If you’re like me, your heart starts beating a little faster anytime there’s a history tour or museum nearby! 🤓 💓

Okay, maybe I’m being a bit dramatic (or not, ask my saint of a husband, Jack, who’s accompanied me on wayyyy too many history-themed vacations hehe).

A Journey Through Time

This adorable dog is a history buff as well! He wandered the exhibits during our visit, and came over to say 'hi' a few times. After learning about Winona, the dog was safely returned to its owner by staff. ❤️

This cart served coffee to area locals who'd (ahem) indulged themselves a bit too much at the local bars. When they'd stumble outside, a friendly cup of joe would help them sober up! ☕

Engage and Play in ‘The Cube’

For the little ones, ‘The Cube’ is a delightful space designed for preschoolers and their families at the Winona County History Center. Here, kids can unleash their creativity by arranging colorful shapes on a light table, mimicking the work of Winona’s stained glass artists.

They can also engage in hands-on activities like block building, bead stringing, and log-house construction. Additionally, a cozy book nook offers a range of stories, from museum adventures to dinosaur tales, as well as children’s history books, and a variety of bilingual and multicultural stories. 🧸 📚
