Winona, Minnesota – In our beautiful southern Minnesota hometown of Winona, a group of kids is making noise and making a difference. They’re the Little Warriors Drumline, and they’re proving that all you need to make music is a little creativity and a lot of heart.

From Humble Beginnings to Hometown Heroes

It all started in 2019 when Andre and Tara Bailey had a bright idea. They wanted to give kids in their community a fun, positive outlet. So, they gathered up some Menards buckets, grabbed some drumsticks, and the Little Warriors Drumline was born.

At first, it was just a ragtag bunch of kids banging on buckets. But the Baileys had a vision. They knew that with a little hard work and a lot of love, these kids could become something special.

Making a Difference, One Beat at a Time

The Little Warriors Drumline isn’t just about making music. It’s about making a difference. The Baileys use drumming to teach kids important life lessons, like teamwork, discipline, and respect.

The drumline brings together kids from all walks of life. Some were bullies, some were bullied, but when they pick up their drumsticks, none of that matters. They’re all Warriors, working together to create something beautiful.

Taking the Stage

In October 2019, the Little Warriors got their big break. Winona State University invited them to perform at their Game Day Experience. When the kids started jamming on their bright green buckets, the crowd went wild!

That performance was just the beginning. Since then, the Little Warriors have become a beloved part of the Winona community. They’ve performed at events all over town, spreading joy and inspiration wherever they go.

The Beat Goes On

The Little Warriors Drumline is more than just a group of kids playing drums. It’s a family, a community, and a source of pride for Winona. And as long as there are kids who want to make music and make a difference, the beat will go on.
