Woman accused of stalking ex with Apple AirTag! Find out how this tech gadget turned into a tool for jealousy gone wrong. 😱 #AirTagStalker #CrazyExes #TechGoneBad
Racine, WI – Have you heard about the Wisconsin woman who took “tracking your ex” to a whole new level? Amanda Rasmuson, a 36-year-old from Racine, Wisconsin, is facing some serious charges for allegedly using an Apple AirTag to keep tabs on her former flame.
A Not-So-Secret Admirer
According to the police report, Rasmuson’s ex-boyfriend’s new partner found an AirTag hidden under the trunk of her car. And get this – it was so clean and shiny, it looked like it had just been placed there! No dirt, no grime, just a freshly planted tracking device.
The Plot Thickens
But wait, there’s more! A few days later, the same woman discovered another AirTag on her Toyota. It seems like Rasmuson was determined to keep a close eye on her ex’s whereabouts.
Caught Red-Handed
When investigators finally caught up with Rasmuson, she initially played dumb. But it didn’t take long for her to spill the beans. She admitted to placing the AirTags on the vehicles to “place herself at the same place as her ex-boyfriend and thereby make the woman mad.” Talk about a jealous ex!
AirTags: A Traveler’s Best Friend or a Stalker’s Dream?
Now, don’t get us wrong – AirTags can be a traveler’s best friend. They’re great for keeping track of your luggage, keys, and other easily misplaced items. But it seems like Rasmuson had a different idea in mind when she decided to use them to stalk her ex. Here in the Midwest, we call this whole situation an Uff-da Moment.
The Consequences
Rasmuson’s little scheme landed her in hot water. She’s facing charges for misusing GPS devices and violating an injunction. And to top it all off, she had to cough up a $500 cash bond when she appeared in court on Friday.
So, let this be a lesson to all the jilted lovers out there – using AirTags to track your ex is not only creepy, it’s also illegal! Stick to the old-fashioned methods of moving on, like eating ice cream and binge-watching Netflix. Trust us, it’s a lot less complicated.
