In 1960, Alex Jordan opened his dream house built atop a towering chimney of rock. Initially, it was a lofty retreat with breathtaking views, but over the years, it expanded into what we now know as The House on the Rock. This attraction has evolved significantly, featuring stunning architecture, curious collections, and mind-blowing exhibits.
Plan Your Visit
To fully enjoy The House on the Rock, it is recommended to allow at least three hours for the Ultimate Experience. Visitors are advised to arrive no later than 2 PM. Arriving later might limit your options and force you to rush through the complex. The last admittance for the Ultimate Experience is at 3 PM, with all ticket sales ending and the complex closing at 5 PM.

Getting to The House on the Rock is straightforward. Head south on Highway 23. Approximately 8 miles past Spring Green, you’ll find the attraction on your right. Be mindful that the area is rural, and cellular service might be limited, so check with your carrier before you go.

The Dark Side:
For a spooky twist, visit during “The Dark Side” event. Select areas become haunted with eerie displays and haunted attractions. This event runs on specific dates in October from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Christmas Experience:
